On October 22 we will be holding our second BC Demo Day. 30 select companies will take the stage for 3 minutes each to showcase their most innovative applications or services.  It is an opportunity to take a look at what the most creative and innovative companies are doing right here in BC. Industry leaders such as such as EA, Rainmaker, Blast Radius, and Radical Entertainment as well as upstart new companies such as XOMO Digital will show why Vancouver is a world leader in wireless and digital media technology.  This time around we would like to add universities / grad student projects to the mix and give a sense of the interesting developments taking place on our campuses as well.
 
 
This BC Demo Day is just one part of the 2010 Showcase and Service, an industry-driven and supported, community-focused and government-assisted, not-for-profit initiative to showcase our innovative technologies to business visitors, media, locals and visitors.  It is by far the most ambitious product innovation through collaboration project ever conceived to promote the BC wireless and digital media industry to the world.
 
Process and dates:
·         October 1, 2009 - Application process OPENS
·         October 19, 2009 – Application process CLOSES
·         October 20, 2009 – Notification to selected companies
·         October 22, 2009 – BC Demo Day II at the Vancity Theatre
