Gateway to Biotechnology event, Oct. 16, 2009.

LIfeSciences British Columbia hosts its 5th annual teacher and student seminar, Gateway to Biotechnology. The seminar will be held at the new Blusson Spinal Cord Centre and will provide an overview of biotechnology and the numerous opportunities available in this emerging industry.
Students in grades 9 through 12 will have the opportunity to hear from different speakers in different areas of biotechnology and meet with mentors to discuss possible project ideas for the 2009-10 sanofi-aventis Bio Talent Challenge.
BCIT's own Paula Brown, director of the Integrative Bioscience Research Cluster, is an invited speaker at this event.
